Odd and Even Numbers

Today we learnt some odd and even numbers.

We as a class played a game called Popcorn. This activity helps children to learn odd and even numbers easily. If the teachers says an odd number, the children have to crouch down on the ground. If the teacher says an even number the children jump up and say "Popcorn!"
 Doesn't it sound cool!

More Lego fun!

Another Reading Group got engaged today with the lego activity. Interesting thing I noticed today was that kids took longer time to complete their lego activities and the reason was that they didn't follow any of the 4 instruction cards. They just did their vehicles individually from their own thinking. Two kids found it difficult and more time will be given to them. Please scroll down....

Kids been Creative

Two of Room 5's Reading Group followed the instructions and produced lovely vehicles relating to our
Inquiry topic -- Transportation.
Scroll down and enjoy!

Tsana in action!

Tsana (Robin's mum) even before the school started engaged some kids by teaching them numbers and some sums.

Last day of Netball

AMI has been so generous in organising a coach for our school from Weeks 1 - 5 to come and teach us some Netball Skills. Room 5 kids were enjoying it so much on every Tuesdays from 12 -12.30pm However today was the last practice with the coach.
Please scroll down and see our cool photos taken today.

Story Board

This is what one of my Reading Groups did this morning.
They read their group reading book (The Red SeaGull) and then summarised the story in Story Board form.
Actually it was their first time to do the Story Board. They were very satisfied with what they produced. Great job kids!

Friday Assembly Presentation

Week 4 School Assembly by Room 1 & Room 5.

On the 31st of May Room's 1 and 5 got together and hosted the School Assembly. Certificates were awarded to the children chosen by their class teachers. That's the best part of the assembly as children getting the certificates are acknowledged in front of the whole school and parents who can make it to.
